Product Details

The Spyder Scraper makes difficult, time consuming, labor intensive scraping tasks easy. Use the 2-in scraper for precision scraping and chiseling, popping tiles and removing thin set. Use the 4-in scraper for general scraping tasks, including removing linoleum flooring and mastics. Use the 6-in scraper for large surface area removal of softer materials like rubber-backed carpets. For best results, hold the reciprocating saw at a shallow angle to the work surface to allow the scraper to glide across the work surface. Allow the blade to do the work — applying extra downward pressure may shorten tool life. Made in the USA.

Before each use:

Make sure the scraper is unbent and check the scraper for wear, cracks, and other damage. Do not use an excessively worn or damaged scraper as this can become stuck in the workpiece, cause kickback, create dangerous flying debris and/or create other unsafe situations that may cause injury.

Reciprocating scrapers are not intended to be used for concrete demolition!

Scraper blade is intended for removing light surface contaminants and is not intended to replace a hammer drill; scraper can bend, break, or fracture and may result in increased kickback or user injury if used for any purpose other than removing light surface contaminants.

WARNING: Reciprocating scrapers are not to be used in orbital mode!

Only use scrapers with straight reciprocating (non-orbital) action. Using the power tool in orbital mode can cause loss of control, damage the scraperand the workpiece, and can increase the likelihood of user injury due to dangerous flying debris, tool kickback, and other unsafe situations.

For Best Results / To reduce the risk of damage:

Hold the power tool at a low angle. Use the power tool at half speed. Do not lean on the tool with your body weight as this may damage the tool, create dangerous flying debris and/or create other unsafe situations that may cause injury. Let the tool do the work. Use the proper scraper size for your material.
